Moose Enterprises was founded in 1999 as primarily a website design and development company. Its founder and owner, Steven Edwards, recognized that the costs of developing and maintaining a web presence had fallen to such levels that virtually any person or organization would be able to afford to have their own website.

Moose Enterprises strived to attract clients who wanted to do more than just create a "brochureware" site. The sites developed were much more than just marketing material. In virtually every case, the sites created interacted with the client, providing them useful information, or capturing specific transactions, such as applying for a grant, or logging in to see the latest update to an online underwriting manual.

At the same time, many clients simply needed help keeping their office computers running properly. Many of these clients have gone on to build websites with Moose Enterprises, as they understood that the quality service that was provided in support of their desktop computers and networks would also be evident in their websites.
