There are several costs associated with owning a website.
First, there is hosting fees which can range from $8 per month to several hundred, although most sites will work fine for the $8 per month fee.
There is a yearly fee to maintain your domain name (yourname.com) This fee can range from $10 to $30 per year.
Development costs range anywhere from $500 for a one page, "business card" type site, to tens of thouands of dollars. A typical small business site with one or more application will be approximately $5,000.

| How much does it cost to maintain my website?

Monthly hosting fees will be at least $8 per month. Other maintenance can be negotiated with Moose Enterprises. Service plans are available, but most clients elect to pay Moose Enterprises hourly for changes to their site. If changes are extensive, a fixed price contract can be negotiated. |

| Do I get email with my site?

A website means that you can have an email address using your domain name. For instance, you can have an email address be you@yourdomain.com. This email address can be set up to forward mail to an existing email address that you already have, or Moose Enterprises can assist you in using the address in a more tradional way, using either a web based email client, or a client program like Outlook Express. |

| What is a "domain"?

A domain is usually a name for your website, such as yourdomain.com. Domain registrars charge money to register your domain, and most "good" .com domains are already registered. There are other domains available, such as the .biz, .net, and .org domains. |

| What about search engines?

Moose Enterprises will submit your site to popular search engines such as Yahoo, MSN and AOL. The process takes several weeks to several months.
If you wish, you can use the pay services of these sites to promote your website. Moose Enterprises does not provide this service unless specifically contracted to.
Moose Enterprises cannot guarantee placement in any search engines, nor that a site will be listed at all. |
